We only charge cancellation fees when bookings are cancelled within the notice period (including passenger no-shows). This is because the vehicle has been dedicated to you and can no longer be assigned to another GEC Transfers passenger. The notice periods differ depending on location, vehicle, and event type.
From months in advance to the day of your travel, we’re here to keep you moving. Booking in advance gives you more options and certainty that the car type and even driver of your choice will be available at the time you need, but we offer same-day services too.

Travelling with luggage:
Each car has different capabilities. Please check our fleet section to find the best vehicle that fits your needs. As a guide:
SUVs typically accommodate between 3 to 4 large suitcases.
Prestige MPVs can hold up to 6 pieces of luggage.
Elite MPVs also hold up to 6 pieces of luggage, with the option to add a trailer for additional capacity.
If your luggage fits within the standard requirements for your booked vehicle type, there will not be an additional charge. If you have excessive luggage and are traveling in a, Van, or minibus, you can organize a trailer at the time of booking for $30.

Travelling with children:
Yes, we can provide clean, well-maintained child seats suitable for newborns to 8-year-olds in our Sedans, SUVs, or Vans, provided we are notified at the time of booking.
All children aged under eight years must travel in an age-appropriate restraint. A fee of $15 applies for bookings with car seats
Lost property:
Please contact the GEC Transfers Customer Service Team as soon as possible at +61 0431 910 185 with your booking details so we can reach out to the driver. Lost property may be returned to you for a fee or collected from a Customer Service Centre located in Gold Coast City. While every effort is made to recover lost items, GEC Transfers does not assume liability for any lost or misplaced personal property.

Our sedan’s maximum luggage limitations are two (2) normal-sized suitcases plus two (2) pieces of hand luggage, or one (1) large suitcase plus one (1) set of golf clubs and one (1) soft luggage. For more luggage, consider booking a larger vehicle.

Waiting time:
- 15 minutes complimentary waiting time at homes, hotels, or other non-airport pickups.
- 30 minutes complimentary waiting time at Domestic Airport Terminals.
- 45 minutes complimentary waiting time at International Airport Terminals.
- 45 minutes complimentary waiting time at Cruise Ship Terminals.

Public holidays and after-hours surcharges:
Depending on the public holiday and your location, surcharges may apply. A 20% after-hours surcharge applies on bookings for all vehicles with a pick-up time between 22:00 and 04:59 hrs.
