Every GEC Transfers vehicle can carry child restraints. Request them when you book: a baby capsule for an infant, a forward-facing child seat for a toddler, or a booster for an older child. Tell us the age of each child in the booking form and the driver fits the right seat before the pickup, so it is ready when you open the door.
Child seats cost $15 per seat on transfers and are free on tours. This is the published policy and it applies to every vehicle. The booking form shows the fixed price for the whole trip, seats included, before you pay.
The vehicle is private and door-to-door, booked for your family only. No shared shuttle, no other passengers and no hotel stops before yours.

In Queensland, every child under 7 must travel in an approved child restraint. As a guide, a capsule suits a baby to about 6 months, a forward-facing seat suits a child to about 4, and a booster suits a child to about 7. The driver fits the seat that suits your child's size, so if your 3 year old is tall or your 5 year old is small, say so when you book.
The rule applies from the moment you leave the airport. A taxi or rideshare at the kerb will not always have a seat, which is why families book the transfer, and the seats, before they fly.
Travelling with children means more luggage. A pram, a travel cot, a bag of snacks and toys, and suitcases for people who cannot carry them. Choose the vehicle in the booking form by the number of people and bags, and count the pram as a large bag.
Luggage help is included. The driver loads the pram and the bags and unloads them at your door. See our fleet.
A long flight with children ends with a tired family in a busy arrivals hall. This is what a private transfer removes. Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall at Brisbane Airport or Gold Coast Airport holding a sign with your name. The child seats are already fitted. The driver takes the bags, walks you to the vehicle and drives you straight to your door.
We monitor your flight, so if it lands late the pickup moves with it. Nobody is waiting on the kerb with a toddler while a car is called. See Brisbane Airport transfers and Gold Coast Airport transfers.
Movie World, Dreamworld, Wet'n'Wild, Sea World and Paradise Country are the reason many families come to the Gold Coast, and Australia Zoo is the reason for a day trip north. A private transfer gets you to the gate at opening time with the pram and the swimmers, and collects you at the time you set when the children have had enough. See theme park transfers.
Multi-generation holidays need one vehicle, not three taxis. The Staria, the minibus or a coach keeps everyone together. The child seats are fitted for the youngest, and the driver helps the oldest with the step and the bags.
Child seats are free on our premium private tours, so a day in the hinterland or at the beach costs no more because you have a baby with you. The driver keeps the pace to the family: shorter walks, earlier lunch, a stop when someone needs one. See the Springbrook National Park tour and the Sunshine Coast and Australia Zoo tour.
GEC Transfers is rated 5.0 on Google by 290+ travellers, many of them families. We are open 24/7, every day, so a dawn flight with a baby is a normal booking. Your driver is a professional, and the office speaks English and Spanish.
