Gold Coast Airport (OOL) sits at Coolangatta, at the southern end of the coast next to Tweed Heads and the New South Wales border. Surfers Paradise is about 25 km to the north. The drive takes around 30 to 35 minutes depending on traffic, either along the Gold Coast Highway through the beach suburbs or up the M1 motorway.
On the coastal road you pass Kirra, Currumbin and Burleigh Heads before reaching Broadbeach and then Surfers Paradise. The M1 is usually quicker at busy times. Your driver picks the route that suits the time of day, and the price stays the same either way.
